ITIL Service Strategy is one of five courses making up the ITIL Intermediate Service Lifecycle stream. ITIL Service Strategy focuses on strategic activities within the IT service lifecycle, including Service Portfolio Management, Demand Management, Financial Management and more.
Our Service Strategy course lasts 3 days, over which using instructor-led teaching, individual exercises, group discussions, and mock exams, you will prepare for the ITIL Service Strategy examination and learn the principles and importance of the Service Strategy stage of the lifecycle.

The course is intended for anybody who has completed ITIL Foundation. It will be particularly useful to those involved in strategic activities in the Service Lifecycle, including CIOs, CTOs, IT managers, consultants and supervisory staff.
Fully understand Service Strategy terms and concepts
Be able to interpret, analyse and apply core Service Strategy principles and techniques
Prepare to take the ITIL Service Strategy exam
The ITIL Service Strategy exam certifies knowledge of the Service Strategy stage of the lifecycle, including principles, processes, organisation and governance. It is taken on the final day of training. The exam is multiple choice, has 8 questions and lasts 90 minutes. It is closed book and the pass mark is 28/40, or 70%.
You could follow on from this course by studying other ITIL Intermediate qualifications from the rest of the Service Capability stream, including Planning Protection and Optimization (PPO), Release, Control and Validation (RCV) and Service Offerings and Agreements (SOA).

ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) is a widely accepted approach to IT service management which helps businesses ensure their IT services are aligned with their needs and support their core processes. It provides guidance on how to use IT as a tool to facilitate business change and growth.
All our classroom ITIL courses include exams as part of the course.

Training hours are approximately 9am – 5pm.
You can sign up for the course up until the day before class begins. However, we have limited seating capacity and many of our courses fill up well in advance. We therefore advise students to register at least a few weeks before the course begins.
ITIL offers a hierarchy of certifications, leading to a Diploma in Service Management. This is a credit based system, with
earlier certifications within the program being assigned credit values. A total value of 22 credit points
is required to achieve the final diploma.
The first step is the ITIL Foundation Certification. This entry level qualification is mandatory to progress any further. Thereafter, there is a choice of 9 different programs within a second level. The third and final level is the 'Managing Across the Lifecycle'.
